11-11: MEMORIES RETOLD is an emotional narrative adventure telling the stories of two soldiers on on both sides of the front during WW I. It is brought to life through a unique painterly style, whilst the combined voice acting talents of Elijah Wood and Sebastian Koch as Harry and Kurt, and an orchestral score from composer Olivier Deriviere, guide players through moments of both peace and despair.
I only write for games that have less than 1000 reviews but deserve a much bigger recognition. And this 8 year old game, as of today, only has 653 reviews. Yes, it is a walking simulator but what a fantastic art direction (and sound design) this is. You can buy it just to take photos (one of the characters is a war photographer) of the painting-like environments. A little experience, but totally worth it.
No matter what do not skip this game , it give you unforgettable adventure drama story story so far : Harry Lambert (Canadian): A young photographer lured by glory, he joins the war effort but finds himself facing its brutal reality and the disappearance of a comrade, with his camera capturing the war's visual story. Kurt Waldner (German): A skilled engineer whose life is upended when he learns his son is missing,
Good story and nice art direction Worth the try as it gets massive discounts on sales. Same director as Valiant Hearts so it's not your average narrative game.
