AtS genuinely could be my favourite roguelite of all time. It is the only game I ever bought supporter pack for, because I felt I haven't payed enough for all the fun I had (and will have) with the game. Gameplay wise it is a city builder, but a boring late game slog is cut off and only the most interesting part remains - exploring, establishing your settlement, building economy and production chains. There is a

Description
You are the Viceroy – a leader charged by the Scorched Queen to reclaim the wilderness and discover lost riches for the Smoldering City, civilization's last bastion against the Blightstorm that destroyed the old world. Unlike most survival city builders where your focus is on a single city, in Against the Storm you must build a vast, prosperous network of settlements populated by diverse fantasy races, each with their own specializations and needs.
The wilderness holds many hidden dangers, and never-ending storms will batter your population into submission. If your settlements should fall, then the expedition may end – but not the game. Against the Storm is a roguelite city builder, meaning you will carry forward the resources, upgrades, and experience of your past expeditions each time you set off for a new journey into the wild.Recommended system requirements

User reviews
great settlement builder that ends the campaigns before it gets too tedious, the roguelike elements are great and very variable, and using a 'pick 1 of 3' random options instead of a traditional tech tree takes out a lot of the rote perfectionism that this genre can fall into
In this roguelite-city builder hybrid, your task as a Viceroy is to build a line of short-lived, self-contained settlements in order to face this game's version of a boss encounter - repairing an ancient seal. Win or lose, the cycle begins anew afterward, resetting the world map and offering new opportunities and challenges. You're likely to enjoy this game if you: - liked the cosy vibes of Banished - enjoy
