I should have been more suspicious when early achievements were rare, despite the positive review ratio it seems like most people barely bothered to get far in the game, and it's not that difficult to see why. First of all the story is very bland, the characters are pretty one-dimensional and they all have relatively boring dialogue. NPCs rarely have much interesting or helpful to say. Arelite Core is a fantastic RPG with a captivating story, engaging turn-based combat, and beautiful pixel art. The characters are well-developed, and the gameplay offers great depth and challenge. It's a must-play for fans of classic JRPGs. Highly enjoyable and highly recommended!

The style is so retro-cute, the pixelart is pleasant, and the music is catchy — it's just nostalgia for the old JRPGs. But damn, the gameplay sometimes feels like a chore...
