Read moreJust finished the game. I did not like that some puzzles were extremely hard to solve, in fact without the hints or online guides, it would have taken me forever. In some case I might never have solved some puzzles on my own. I still recommend the game though, the atmosphere, characters and locations are just awesome, I really liked this adventure. I do plan to play other Broken Sword games in the future.
Re-make of a classic. Great story. Memorable Characters. point and click puzzle solving with some mystery to boot. Buy it then buy the next part.
Beautiful remaster of an absolute classic, point and click didn't get much better than globetrotting adventures with George and Nico. As nice as it looks though, it does feel like it's lost some of its charm in terms of the artwork and once you realise that AI was used in a lot of it, it's hard not to notice. On the positive side, I believe the AI was trained on Revolution’s own art works, so that’s something.
Great bit of nostalgia, nice revamped graphics but still in keeping with look and fill of original. Simple point and click with even simpler puzzles. Great for beginners to point/click puzzle games.
I enjoyed the game well enough. But it is commented by many to be a masterclass in the series. I don't agree with this. The game as a whole seems disjointed. Like scenes are left out. You click on something to solve a puzzle and after a two second cutscene that explains nothing, you are magically back in Nico's apartment. The first time this happened I actually had to look up if my game bugged or something but no,
I played the original game many decades ago. It wasn’t one of my favorites. I used to remember some scenes and parts when I started the Reforged. Now I have a better impression of the games that I did back then. The remake of the graphics and art is excellent, the new design of the characters. The music and sound effects(which I think are the original ones) Its one of the best aspects of the game. Its an adventure
haven't played an old school adventure game like this for a long time, so some of the puzzles felt almost impenetrable, and sound can be rough at times. but so what. hint system is well done, writing is smart, charm is abundant.
Very solid point and click and enjoyable puzzles. At first the audio was rough to listen to, I was prepared to refund. But, as I continued playing, the scratchy dialogue became less grating on the ears and the experience was worthwhile. Glad I didn’t refund it. 29.99 is a bit steep for this, so I’d recommend buying on discount. Looking forward to the remasters of the sequels!
