Burley Men at Sea is really more of a digital choose-your-own-adventure book than an adventure game, and I do like choose-your-own-adventure books. What's more the art and sound are good, it feels like a lost picture book from when you were a kid. The problem I have with BMaS is that as cute and well written and charming as it is, it's just really slow to play. I couldn't find a way to skip dialogue or fast forward

This is an unexpectedly clever and cute point-and-click adventure game, simple enough a young child can get through it.
