To all who doesn't seem to like it, taste is taste. It surely has the old Carma vibe, not gonna complain. That's what I was after and that's all I got. If you expect a GTA where you can't exit the car, NOT your game, if you think powerups are useless, NOT your game. It's a wreckfest, havock, slaughterfest. That's it, that's Carma.
Bit worse the older carmageddons. Still great. edit after 12 hours. it is a lot WORSE then older carmageddons, like where are all the races ?
brings good memories and fun
I really tried. Him skill issue. -♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ handling, useless powerups, unsatisfying races, unimpactful crashes, bad game. +Lots of blood, cool cars, no censorship. 2/10 will probably play again.
Feel like back old carma. Completely like it. Not many games remakes feels good as old ones.
It’s honestly heartbreaking for me to write this review. I was deeply invested in this game because Carmageddon 97 was one of my biggest escapes during childhood—not only introducing me a darker/dystopic world in the first hand, but also shaping my musical taste by introducing me to metal and its subgenres. Despite my strong positive bias toward Carmageddon: Max Damage, it still ended in a refund. Even after
Classic Carmageddon. Super fun but soooo many crashes. Still worth it.
So, where to start? I guess, i'll go with controls. Cars feel like bricks on ice. And that's on the asphalt road with good grip. No sence of speed. Most of the time the game is slow. Gamemodes come down to "get trough checkpoints first, or kill opponents/peds", and get repetetive FAST. I'm really glad Rogue shift went in a different direction gameplay-wise, cuz this is hella boring.
