A solid little romp! It's a bit short, but there's some fun puzzles and a bunch of fun new monsters between the start and the end, so I can't complain! I've seen some complaints in the other reviews about the platforming puzzles, which is fair, but it's not like it costs you anything to fail them, it doesn't even cost you time; you miss a jump, you wind up back where you jumped from immediately and go again. Yea this game is good
It's... about an extra hour or so of gameplay. New beasts that are neither fun nor powerful. Very flat, full of frustrating game mechanics as you stumble through each section (Especially Funworld, which should be renamed to Garbageworld), and four new bosses that don't really add much in the way of challenge. I think this should have been a free update. I would have only considered it paid DLC if Shelby had been
I mean the base game is so amazing this kind of fails in comparison. The new monsters are really cute, but other than that theirs just nothing too this, unfortunately.

I love Cassette Beasts so much, but this DLC is only worth it while on sale. Only adds one new area with basic puzzles (that can be avoided with late-game abilities). The monster designs are pretty cool, but the biggest issue with Piers of the Unknown is the lack of vocals from Shelby Harvey during DLC only boss fights. Overall, it's fine. Only pick it up if you love Cassette Beasts, not if you just sorta like it.
I did not have fun with the DLC. It started out fine. I can at least say I like that new beasts were added, but this style of game/controls is not made for precision/timed platforming. I found myself more frustrated than anything. I would say only purchase if you want the new beasts.
