I loved the game and the story being told. Yes, it's different than the normal CSD formula, but it provides a new unique experience. It may not be as difficult as the previous games, but going for gold on the blitz days can be a real challenge! Nori and Brie, the two main characters, meshed really well together! I enjoyed this game in early access and was excited to come back for the full release, but apparently the devs completely overhauled the gameplay between now and then in a way that completely kills the fun. It's not the fast-paced CSD game you're used to, but it's also no longer a more cozy rhythm based game either.
This game is a pretty significant departure from the mechanics of the previous CSD games. Overall the game is much simpler and asks for less perfection, so for me it was much chiller and a great wind down game. The game is mostly story focused (a story I found pretty nice!), following the main character's journey through cooking and the life surrounding it. While it is a sharp departure from the previous games, this one has a much more fleshed out story and a more chill gameplay experience. This is a much more straightforward game for new players to pick up and enjoy.
