Country Tales is a light and easy time management game that plays smoothly and has a simple charm to it. It follows the classic setup you see in a lot of resource and building games. You collect wood, food, and gold, clear obstacles, build structures, and complete tasks before the timer runs out. It never tries to be complicated, and that is part of what makes it relaxing. An awesome game: an interesting story and a working Linux version. I use Ubuntu 24 LTS.
Definitely recommended. I enjoyed my time with this one. It has polished gameplay, nice graphics and a story to keep things moving along. There are some interesting challenges if going for gold stars and I liked the different objectives to complete each level. It's pretty shallow and won't be too difficult to finish, but I had fun while it lasted.
if you like resource management games, you will enjoy this. Fun resource management and a nice story to move you through the locations. I hope they make a sequel.
This game is okay. It's fun enough. My issue with it is that it's literally impossible to beat the clock. Maybe the first few levels, but after that, forget it. There's an option to play in relaxed mode with no time limits, but then you're not rewarded with any stars, so it's kind of like- what's the point? I haven't timed how long the clock gives you to complete a level, but it's definitely no more than 10 minutes.
