Much like the reviews at time of writing, my feelings about this DLC are... mixed. On the one hand, for the stuff you're most likely to notice and pay attention to, it's great. Lots of new things to do, a bunch of new systems (including a Hegemony tier above Empire for titles), and an approach to both Japan and China that actually do a decent job of representing something the Crusader Kings format was never designed

The amount of bad reviews makes me want to weigh in. This has been the best time I've had with the game since the initial release hype. I get why there are negative reviews for this. Major bug breaks the end game. I am Merit Rank 1 and Candidate Rank 1 for the military career path. The grand marshal dies and I have continuously been passed up for the spot. Can't progress any further. Totally makes everything I worked for in that characters life useless.
