It's not so much that the event that the DLC adds is bad, it's just sort of obnoxiously long but also almost required to do periodically. Every so often I'll be like "Why are my vassals mad at me??" and part of it is because I didn't do this event when my heir took power, so now I have to drop everything and spend a ton of money to click through the same dialogue choices over and over again before I can get back to
You might think "gamers are huge whiners, surely they're overblowing this" and sadly, you're wrong this time. This DLC genuinely just makes the game worse. Coronations take forever, cost a fortune, and have a giant negative impact if you don't do them. On top of that, they include random events that can amplify CK3's already painful succession process. Your powerful vassal that already doesn't like you? Well here's
No matter what I do all I can't figure out why the game won't let me have a coronation, all it says is "All of these" what am I supposed to do with that. It's extremely buggy, and I cant even turn it off without losing that save.
