As a huge Armored Core fan and someone who genuinely enjoyed the first Daemon X Machina, I went into Titanic Scion expecting to be disappointed. When I heard it was shifting further toward exosuit combat instead of sticking closer to traditional mecha design, I assumed it might lose what made the original special. I was wrong. Titanic Scion fully commits to the fantasy of piloting an advanced exosuit called an
Daemon X Machina: Armored Core if it was mid Daemon X Machina Titanic Scion: Anthem if it was actually good
Mediocre at best. Actively annoying at worst. Worse: The more annoying parts don't come up until well after you're out of the steam refund window. So by the time you get frustrated with the poorly designed boss fights and reused assets from the first game you won't even be able to get your money back. Look elsewhere. Go play Armored Core again instead.
