As someone who really enjoyed the base game, I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of this one. It feels very difficult for the sake of being difficult and a lot of the puzzles require some tremendous leaps in logic that I just didn't find particularly satisfying to solve. The story as a whole across all three chapters is actually somewhat incohesive and there's tons of context that has to just be assumed as it's never

Spider of Lanka is the first half of a two part prequel DLC for the first case in The Case of the Golden Idol. It's just more of the base game, and I actually really enjoyed the puzzles on this one. Its only 3 cases unfortunately, but I think that fits for the story they wanted to tell (if not a teensy bit convoluted at times). The difficulty on this one wavers but I found it a solid 7.5/10 in the difficulty scale,

A big jump in difficulty and complexity from the main game, but it might just be because there is at first very little to tether the player's deductions like the puzzles in the main game apart from the lovable Sebastian Cloudsley. However, things do get more comprehensible the longer this sits, and the challenges are both tricky and fun. Also possibly the most mesmerizing music in the game is here. Highly recommend.
