This is the kind of game people long for when they say games nowadays are "Soulless" - Grim Fandango is brimming with charm and a unique setting, something that can be clearly defined within the player's mind. It isn't a hodgepodge of the most popular fads at the moment, or an entirely derivative work in fantasy or sci-fi that we often see. It's simply fun to experience the way Manny interacts with his environment,

User reviews
one of the best games I've played, and I love how it uses something as simple as text to transcend the regular point and click boundaries into something more playful and creative, they're small things here and there, but they break up the monotony and introduce little moments of joy, like clicking to join the bees in their union chants on time, otherwise you get called out, or how the dialogue choices change rapidly
These games from the 90s... they're just too difficult, if you haven't played before. Wonderful art and story, though. I just... don't have that kind of time anymore. But if you enjoyed the original game and already know your way around, I think you'll love this remaster.
