Halls of Torment is a horde survival game with a pre-rendered retro look reminiscent of RPGs from the late 90s. Choose one of many hero characters and descend into the deadly Halls of Torment. Fight unholy horrors from beyond and survive wave after wave of enemies until you face one of the tormented Lords. Strengthen your hero with character traits, abilities, and items. Create a new powerful build during each run. Explore various underground expanses and find new powerful items that enable you to venture even deeper into the abyss.

After the 100% The torment is over! very good vampire survivors like but the progression wasn't as satisfying as it could be, and the inability to speed up runs except for a single modifier was a shame. Worth it for 20-30hrs but going for all the unlocks might do your head in.

Halls of Torment is basically Diablo and Vampire Survivors had a baby, and that baby is a little sadistic goth b*tch. You fight endless hordes of monsters, grab weird loot, and die a lot… but somehow, you keep coming back for more. It’s messy, chaotic, and addictive in the most deliciously cruel way. I love how it mixes Vampire Survivors chaos with RPG progression, but beware: it eats your free time like a tiny

The game is great and it's fun to chase after achievements. It's a bit simple and lacks real synergy with skills, but what completely pushes my opinion to negative is the mandatory 30 minute runs, which are likely closer to 40 mins if you count in the pauses whenever you level up or get a new item. If one of the most common suggestion when people mention it is to use cheat engine to speed up the game, I'd say
