The Soul Reaver duology is a bit of a mixed bag. The combat isn't fun, but that's not the focus and it doesn't get too annoying. The exploration was remarkable for its time with its lack of visible load screens even when using fast travel or transitioning between two versions of the world, but it's not particularly special by modern standards. My apologies to the [i]Legacy of Kain[/i] community at large, but I feel I need to give this Remaster a [b]very cautious thumbs-down[/b], even though I still enjoy these games from my (late) formative years on many levels, and I’m certain any old [i]Legacy of Kain[/i] fan will surely feel the same about them, reviews be damned. Love this classic! The remaster is fantastic! Highly recommend picking this one up. Can't wait for the Defiance remaster that just got announced as well. Blood Omen 1 and 2 next?
