METAL GEAR SURVIVE is a spin off from the main METAL GEAR SOLID V story that takes place in a strange alternative universe.
Create your own character and learn to survive. Scavenge resources, craft weapons, build a base camp and explore the unknown while developing the survival skills necessary in this hostile environment.
In CO-OP mode, assemble a team of four players to infiltrate and defend areas from hordes of creatures. Place fortifications and defensive weapons strategically to give you an advantage against ever intensifying enemies. Team work and resourcefulness are key in these fast paced co-op missions.

i love the metal gear solid gz and 5. style. i've played many many many survival games across all consoles, and have played and beat all mgs games ever made except for aci!d 2 and poratable ops(the first one). This game in 2026 is a hidden gem... top 10 (I have played and mastered it years ago). got it on my pc. and sadly no one seems to play. but it is a legit good game and great first attempt.. Now that VOL.2

Surprisingly, METAL GEAR SURVIVE is a pretty good game, so long as you go in expecting basically not a Metal Gear game. Back when the Beta for this game came out and before its official release, I along with most other reasonable people had baked-in overwhelmingly negative feelings towards this game because it was made without Hideo Kojima, and the very concept seemed kind out outrageous for a Metal Gear game.
